About Odd Corey
New Orleans' premier comedy magician & variety entertainer
How Did We Get Here?
I get asked all the time how long Ive been entertaining people. I usually just show them the picture of me when I was six years old, wearing my Dad's tighty whiteys over my pants and flexing like a superhero.
My life's passion is finding connections with other people. Being a neurodivergent kid in the 90s made it hard to do until I realized people liked being around me if I could make them laugh. Finally, a common language I could speak! Well, the same pranks and buffoonery that kept me in detention turned out to be a greater calling that's given me opportunities to bring laughs and mystery to folks of all ages and backgrounds from coast to coast.
Ive worked in circuses, carnival sideshows, theaters, mortuaries and amusement parks. Ive performed at weddings, high schools, faith-based camps, bachelorette parties (look up my viral videos), conventions, concerts, corporate events, and festivals. I do hundreds of shows and meet thousands of people a year; and Im really looking forward to the day you're one of them -Corey
What I Do
Sword Swallowing
One of less than 50 professional working and insured sword swallowers in the entire world. I swallow swords, screw drivers, sabers, funnels, and a Model T Ford rear axel.
Magic
I perform magic illusions for both close-up and stage that's interactive and suitable for all audiences.
Body Stunts
The stunts I perform, both classic and new, are my interpretations of amazing feats that have all but been lost to time since the hay day of the American Circus Sideshow and vaudeville era.
Audience Interaction
My show is highly interactive. That means I can't do it without you! Well, I guess I COULD; but I don't want to...
